Should the former prime minister of the UK, Tony Blair, be charged with war crimes over the war in Iraq? Should other government officials be prosecuted? Should the Americans? Was Iraq a legal war?

Yes!

There are some people who are currently trying to bring this about already.

I read an article today about the fact that the parents of some dead soldiers want to see him court over the decision to go to war. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2005/aug/18/uk.iraq

It is widely agreed that the war in Iraq was illegal as it was not sanctioned by the UN. Someone should be brought to justice for the thousands of lives lost in the search of profits for the American companies. The war was not only illegal, but highly immoral too.

None of the reasons that were initially given for going to war have turned out to be true and the only people that have benefitted from the war are the companies that have been in Iraq since the war, making profits for private companies whilst relying on the protection of the army paid for out of public funds.

I think it was disgusting how he sent our troups in. USA would never have done that for us. Tony Blair should be hung, drawn and quartered for what he did. Least that would give the slightest bit of comfort to the ones who lost their loved ones and friends.
When it was polled around the time, it was huge and the general opinion was that if it was polled before he sent them in, the UK public would never have agreed. BUT as per usual, it really doesn't matter what the public think or feel Cool
